top rare rootz & culture sounds from Augustus Pablo presenting two of the finest riddims ever to come out off JA original vintage melodica styleeee..."Origan Style" is the fantastic Gussie Clarke-cut to Dawn Penn's immortal "You Don't Love Me (No No No)" from Studio One even used by Jah Youth for his killer-chunes "Screaming Target" and "Concrete Jungle"...while the B-side "Classical Illusion" finds Pablo varying the similar klass + klassik soundz of Joe White's "Guiding Star", again from Studio First...this disc is MEGA-RARE...there was a UK-release on the Daddy Kool-label in the late 70s which is very very hard to find but the Micron-issue presented here is much rarer as it was the first press from ca. 1975 and released only in VERY limited quantities...matrix is "Gussie Puppy Records 009B Mr G Part 3" for the "Origan Style"-side and "009A" for the "Classical Illusion"-side...top hi-lite for the devoted Pablo-fan and each + everyone in roots'n culture...if you need to get an impression...scroll down to have a listen...sounds of deepest rootz & culture...I&I tell ya...
WAX condition: vg / vg-, both sides look rather ruff w/ numerous surface marks and scratches causing some crackling on the A-side, NOT too bad, still plays with great sound + full punch, there's even more crackle on the B-side but punch + good, clear sound...original Don Pablo roots&culture-styleee...get an idea of great vintage cultural soundz, scroll down + have a listen...
LABEL condition: A-side shows general wear, some writings and a stamper from Keith Records, Brooklyn / B-side shows general wear and some writings, watch the scan please!
Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being).
THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE:
EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...)
VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...)
G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...)
P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
