MAN IN SPACE WITH SOUNDS

(WORLD'S FAIR RECORDS MONO LP-55555, 1962)

A uniquely creepy and moody LP of eerie library music, recorded several years before its issue here. Some of this music is used in the cult classic SF movie THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE and in other B- to Z-grade drive-in flicks. Here, these tension-laced melodies are wedded with optimistic blather from a local announcer on the wonders of tomorrow. Chances are this album gave most listeners the willies, back in the day. It's now recognized as a masterwork of eerie space-age pop!

CONDITION: [jacket] Glossy LP cover has slight wear to laminated surfaces. Small split to center of top seam. Spine and bottom seam are clean and crisp, with one small scuff to bottom seam. Ballpoint pen writing to front jacket. A strong VG++ jacket overall.

[disc] Vinyl has light paper scuffs, some minor finger smoodges, and a few other minor defects. Ballpoint pen notation to Side 1 label; magic marker writing to Side 2 label. Side 1 vinyl is in nice shape. Some pretty serious scuffs/scratches to Side 2 are audible but do not cause skipping or distortion. Vinyl is a serviceable VG+.

LP will be shipped with record outside jacket, within plastic protective sleeve.
