Description
ARTIE SHAW - BOTH FEET IN THE GROOVE - ANDY WARHOL COVER ILLUSTRATION - RCA Victor LPM-1201. Disc is Near Mint Minus; Sleeve is borderline Near Mint Minus/VG++.
More a Warhol than a Shaw collectible, this 1956 LP release features 12 cuts by Artie Shaw & His Orch. recorded between 1938 and 1945: One Foot In The Groove; Rockin’ Chair; Jungle Drums; Solid Sam; Just Kiddin’ Around; Octoroon; Prosschai (w/intro bar edited out); What Is This Thing Called Love; Lady Day; Little Jazz; Comin’ On; and One Night Stand. Front sleeve has a blemish below RCA trademark measuring approximately 1 inch square against the white background; there is writing on rear sleeve (see photo) next to titles; transparent tape has been affixed to the upper and lower right hand seams, though there is only minor evidence of a seam split on the lower right side measuring about ½ inch; a seam split is forming along lower left seam about 3 inches, but is not all the way through.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer. Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting. LP jackets are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
