ART BLAKEY “Mosaic” RVG, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4098 Mono Vinyl

This is “RVG” etched, Laminated Cover, pressing of ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS “Mosaic” “Liberty” labels of Blue Note BLP 4090. Musicians include Art Blakey – drums, Freddie Hubbard – trumpet, Curtis Fuller – trombone, Wayne Shorter - tenor saxophone, Cedar Walton – piano, Jymie Merritt - bass.

VINYL plays with light background noise which is hidden/consumed by the music. With pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very clear, dynamic and strong. No distortion. Very Good gloss. Side 1 has pressing haze. No marks. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “Liberty” labels are super clean, some spindle wear. See photos.

ORIGINAL LAMINATED COVER is in EXCELLENT SHAPE, still in shrinkwrap. Corners mildly worn. Spine and seams perfect. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows foxing. Please see photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
