ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS:   BLUE NOTE Records BLP4003 HI-FI MONO (Mfd in the USA in the early 60's)   Original early pressing vinyl Album.  SIDE 1's Runoff Groove has hand etched BNLP-4003A-1 with the EAR Mark and two more very light and small letters that I can't make out;  SIDE 2 has BNLP-4003-B  and the EAR Mark.  Both Sides have RVG machine stamped also.  The Cover is in FINE +, not quite Excellent, but very close to it.  I had a difficult time photographing this due to reflections on the Front;  these pictures were the best I could do, but it actually looks better in real life.  The Front is Slick;  the mark you see next to Art's face is actually a fine wrinkle in the paper or sealer.  The Corners are clean and tight and square.  The only blemish is a name neatly stamped on the Back at the top right.  The Labels are clean and New on both Sides.  The Vinyl Record has its original gloss.  It has some very light and silent "paper scuffs" and it looks VG++/Better.   DRUM THUNDER has light background tics but plays a Strong VG+ at times.  MOANIN' also has background Tics but plays better.  This is a Deep Groove pressing with really good Fidelity.  The Other Tracks all play VG++ and Better.  DRUMS is the First Track in these Clips--I've posted some audio clips from both sides of this record at:  www.gate.net/~rhanes/artblakeylpblp4003.wma   -  If you click onto this hyperlink, you can download them as WINDOWS MEDIA AUDIO FILES and listen for yourself.  CRANK IT UP! I can ship this anywhere in the USA via Media Rate for 4.00.
