ARPADYS LP SIROCCO / POLYDOR 2.933.802 1977
Grade B+, very light scuffing
MEGA RARE FRENCH DISCO, ORIGINAL!
All records I sell have been meticulously cleaned with a VPI 16.5 record vacuum. I only grade the record, not the cover, but give a description of any jacket wear. I usually grade audibly after cleaning, and use a strict, impartial "Letter" system that removes inherent bias in the misleading "Goldmine" system. Here's how I break it down.
A: Collector/Audiophile Grade, LP is genuinely cared for. On this record it would be hard to find any audible distractions throughout the LP. Once you have one of these, you'll most likely never need a better copy.
B: Play Copy, Cared for, but a record that has seen some use. Minor distractions may be found on LP. LP is acceptable for everyday enjoyment.
C: Average Wear Exists on this Record inflicted by the public majority who ignore proper handling. Record is at best a play copy with medium wear. I consider it still acceptable, but certainly not for the audiophile or collector. Best for the bargain minded collector or DJ looking for a copy to subject even more wear to.
D: LP is Below Average. LP was poorly kept, exhibits major wear, or slight warping, but is still playable. I only sell D's if LP is in demand and usually with super low reserve or buy-it-now.
F: Record is Destroyed. The LP might have skips, warps or cracks… cost is never more than a dollar. LP would have to be stupid rare to redeem itself from the recycler.
