BLISTERING FOUR piece progressive hard rock unit formed by ex Yardbirds vocalist Keith Relf together with Captain Beyond drummer Babby Caldwell and former Steamhammer members guitarist Martin Pugh and bassist Louis Cennamo. Considering the talent at hand its not surprising that this album is a monster progressive hard rock ripper in the finest early seventies tradition. Big on riffs, riffs and wailing vocals, the music here is pretty much about as good as it gets for the era best exemplified by the track 'Buzzard', a lenghty tour de force of convoluted hard rock with all the trimmings. 'Silver Tightrope' is a haunting ballad with mystical ringing guitar work whilst 'Paths And Planes And Future Gains' tales the concept of progressive hard rock into another arena.

Flip the record over and you've got just two tracks; the short and, incomparison, snappy eight minute 'Last Stand Before' with it's low-down riffing and brilliant harp/guitar solo duel. The final cut is the epic 'Basking In The White Of The Midnihght Sun', a track split into four parts with everything and the kitchen sink thrown in for good measure - proto speed metal riffing to a mind blowing distorted fuzz bass finale. Extraordinary!

Issued in one of the most striking album sleeves of all time - stunning visuals!

Cover: Again no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated cover - retains printers bloom. Sharp corners, one barely noticeable corner ding, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this after 39 years. Grades as a shop fresh MINT!
