BOB DYLAN - ANOTHER SIDE OF BOB DYLAN - “Guaranteed High Fidelity” WHITE LABEL PROMO PRESSING w/TIMING STRIP - Columbia CL-2193 (Mono). Disc is Very Strong Near Mint (just a few paper scuffs away from Mint Minus); Matrices read: (1) XLP-77042-2B; (2) XLP-77043-2F. Sleeve is VG+ (No Seam Splits, but handwritten numbers “1445” across scotch tape on front and rear covers (see photo) and second piece of scotch tape on right side with barely visible numbers; also the letter “S” is written to the left of each title on the timing strip – obviously a radio station copy that didn’t get much play).
Issued in 1964, this would be the last of Dylan’s acoustic “folk” records. As such, we hear a very transitional album with some folk styled music that leans away from the political and more into the personal. One can even hear the rock & roll playing in Dylan’s head regardless of the guitar/harmonica/piano/vocal accompaniment heard here. Indeed, Dylan would go on to play several of these tunes with full band accompaniment in the 1960s and beyond. Titles are: All I Really Want To Do; Black Crow Blues; Spanish Harlem Incident; Chimes of Freedom; I Shall Be Free - No. 10; To Ramona; Motorpsycho Nitemare; My Back Pages; I Don’t Believe You; Ballad In Plain D; and It Ain’t Me Babe. VINYL IS AMONG BETTER CONDITION COPIES OF THIS ALBUM IN A WHITE LABEL PROMO VERSION YOU ARE LIKELY TO FIND TODAY.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer. ALL DISCS ARE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED ON A VPI RECORD CLEANING MACHINE. Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting. LP jackets are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
