"ANNIE BY CANDLELIGHT" - - ANNIE ROSS + TONY CROMBIE QUARTET - - NIXA NJT504 - - MEGA RARE 1956 BRITJAZZ ORIGINAL CULT 10inch LP!!! - - Sadly this is NOT a copy for the audiophile !!! - - It has a sometime suffered a cigarette burn thru the cover that has left a dent in the run out wax, very close to the label edge, so at least it allows your turntable arm to retract before touching the mark - - Amazingly, when I first saw the copy, I did'nt notice the very good repair in the cover of the burn mark, I really had to look twice, so consequently the cover is still very attractive, with the great blk/white photo of a young delectable Annie!!! - - The back cover is VERY clean, (See photo) and the cover has no splits or tears - - The disc has numerous surface marks , which gives it's fair share of pops and clicks, but it plays right thru with no problem and still makes for good listening. - - A fantastic chance for the completist, to fill that hard to fill void, caused by the difficulty in filling it with a super nice copy, often making the very high price that this album commands, prohibitive. - - A superb programme of 8 trax, fantastically supported by Crombie's quartet, that includes, "Gypsy in my soul", "Between the Devil and the deep blue sea", "Don't worry 'bout me", plus 5 more gems!!! - - I repeat, this is not a copy for the audiophile, so consequently offered with no reserve and a peanuts start price !!! - - Thanks for your interest and good luck with your bids - - £15.99
