Description
Rare solo LP by Anne Briggs on the Topic label, issued 1971. Haunting songs, four of the tracks featuring guitar or bouzouki accompaniment, with the remainder unaccompanied, showcasing her remarkable voice – you have to hear this LP to understand her superstar status in the eyes of her contemporaries.
Please see photos for condition. Unfortunately the record has a significant sounding scratch affecting tracks 1 and 2 on side 1, but apart from a tiny non-sounding mark on side 2 the playing surfaces are otherwise unmarked and the LP plays throughout with undiminished fidelity and quiet backgrounds. Labels perfect, no visible spindle trails. Sleeve is very good indeed with minimal edge wear and all spine text intact, some soiling to the edge of the opening, lifting to laminate top left hand corner, and areas of very light rubbing to unlaminated rear.

Postage costs to the UK (using either First Class Recorded or Special Delivery depending on the type of item and its value) are shown below. Insurance against loss or damage is included up to a maximum item value of £2,500. The quoted postage costs to Europe and rest of the world are for airmail on a signed-for service and include insurance, but will international bidders please note that it is not normally possible to insure items for a greater value than £500, and that insurance cover is for loss only, not damage.
