"The Nation's Nightmare" LP CBS RADIO XTV 15688/15692 1951 * * * Very rare and sought after LP featuring early artwork by Andy Warhol. Advertised as "A report of crime in America in 1951-documented with tape recordings from back rooms and front offices of the underworld." Also states that "This record presents two of a series of six memorable broadcasts heard by millions during the summer of 1961 over the facilities of CBS Radio Network." Cover art features illustration of a young man shooting up and a fight between two guys in front of a boatyard. Deep groove labels also feature same artwork. Sleeve and record are in nice condition. * * * VINYL: VG+ (Some light marks/scuffs. It plays with light surface noise but mostly clear sound throughout the whole record.) LABELS: VG++ (Deep groove labels feature illustrations from the front cover. Few light dark purple spots that may be part of the original printing, but no real wear and text and images are clear.) COVER: VG+ (Some aging on the back cover. Dinged upper right corner and very small tear on bottom right corner.
