Original UK LP released on F-ck Off Records in 1980.

Before the Spice Girls, everybody’s favourite all girl band was The Androids Of Mu, which featured Suze Da Blooze from Here And Now on vocals.

From the hands of Grant Showbiz down in deepest Street Level Studios, and released ‘in house’ on F-ck Off Records, this non masterpiece still has a huge sackful of charm.

From the same Weird Tales tours as The Mob, The Astronauts and Zounds, Androids had tracks on the ‘Tribute to Bert Weedon’ cassette.

Blood Robots is a really nice anarcho/post-punk album that has a more sarcastic, less militant approach to feminist and other social themes. Androids of Mu play light-hearted, catchy music with psychedelia mixed in at parts and an overall 'garage grit' feel. Their sound goes great with the vocals, which change between soothing and endearingly quirky and unrefined. Listen to Androids of Mu if you have any interest in 70s/early 80s UK punk at all, and especially if you're a fan of Crass's Penis Envy. Blood Robots might be their only album, but it feels like it's all they ever needed to do.

This is very lo-fi three chord post-punk music, but it's also garage music in nature which made it really charming. Even though they are really using only a few notes, their songs are actually different enough mainly by lyrics. They are certainly on the humanitarian side of things, however they aren't really "in your face" about it. On "Bored Housewife" they talk about sitting home staring at where the carpet meets the wall...really amusing feminist stuff. So long as you don't believe technical talent and production make a good album, then you should try this because it certainly was a nice surprise and easy to listen to. Sometimes they do get carried away with making Android sounds, but if you were an Android wouldn't you take advantage?

We offer combined shipping on all LPs / 12" Vinyls: our shipping rates are listed above. HOWEVER shipping packages that weigh more than 2kg is VERY expensive. Therefore we can only offer combined shipping up to a maximum of SEVEN (7) LPs / 12" vinyls. Any extra purchases will be invoiced, packaged and shipped separately.

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
