Description

The origins of this acetate are as follows. A friend of mine worked for CBS here in the U.K. during the 60's & 70's, he was in charge of what records got pressed (sorry - can't remember the technical name he used). Recently he cleared out his loft & gave me a small box of records that he'd taken home over the years, & this acetate was in amongst them.

ALVIN STARDUST - "TELL ME WHY" - Apple Corps Ltd. 3 Savile Row London W1. Custom Recording. MINT-. The label is also in perfect condition.

RARE ONE SIDED APPLE ACETATE CUSTOM RECORDING.

I have played this record once (looks like it was the first time it had been played) to see if it is the same cut as the 1974 release on the MAGNET label. It's very hard to tell just from one play, but there were no major differences that stood out.

I use the U.K. grading system. Bad. Poor. Fair. Good. Very Good (VG). Excellent (EX). Mint-
