ON OFFER IS THIS VERY RARE LP BY ALMA COGAN.
THIS WAS HER FIRST LP.
IT IS ON THE HMV LABEL NUMBER CLP 1152.

"Hi There!
When I was asked to make a Long Play Record I was very thrilled,but also a little bewildered.What to do to be different today? The simple thing seemed to be the right thing so that is what we called this record " I love to Sing ". This is the simple truth,and I am most grateful for the opportunity to be able to sing some of the songs I have always wanted to sing. Some of them I heard as a child in school,some from films or records by other artists.
It has been a real pleasure to make this first Long Play Record for " His Master's Voice " and I would like to thank Frank Cordell for his magnificent arrangements and his sympathetic conducting of all the items which I hope you who listen will enjoy.
