Description

Artist/Title: All Day - York Pop Music Project

Label: York University Electronic Music Studio (YES 1) UK - 1970

Over the years this LP seems to have built up an almost legendary status amongst collectors. Copies rarely turn up for sale, but when they do it tends to be for large amounts of money. The last two copies I saw were 460 Euros and 700 Euros!

This LP was recorded by Students at York University in 1970. Some of those involved went on to become highly important and influencial names in experimental music, jazz, contempory classical music, etc... Most notably, perhaps, Trevor Wishart and Steve Beresford. Only 100 copies of this LP were pressed up, most copies being given to those involved and sold to other students at the university, etc.... The style of the music here is very varied, as is the quality, but it's certainly not without historical and musical interest. This was also the first release on the YES label, best known for a couple of Trevor Wishart LPs, but also for the extraordinary (and highly sort-after) ' Electronic Music From York ' 3LP box set. Many of those involved in this LP also contributed to Electronic Music From York set, and also the amazing Trevor Wishart ' Journey Into Space  ' LP.

The vinyl is in near mint condition (played maybe once or twice only in 40 years!). The cover is also in pretty good shape. Has slight creases around where the record has been, but no tears, seem splits or significant ring-wear. Would say a good VG+.
