John Lee Hooker - Burning Hell LP UK 1st Issue Mono Riverside LP from 1959???
On offer here is a rare copy of JLH's Burning Hell on the Riverside label recorded in 1959. Not the best copy you will ever find but it plays very well.
The vinyl is difficult to grade, visually it is VG+ and is very clean, however there is a marbling effect on the vinyl surface, this can be seen in the photos. However, it surprisingly does not effect the playback, which is easily VG/VG+ or better.
The Front laminated cover with a paste on back is graded VG and displays pretty well, the back is grubby and has stains and signs of ageing. The spine is solid and readable and there are no splits or writing but the thick card does have some waviness to it, which is typical of this style of cover and keep in mind it is 64 years old.
Original plain poly-lined inner sleeve is in decent clean condition.
This is a really good Hooker album from 1959 and very rare to find in any condition, it is the original UK pressing and although it does have its flaws in appearance it plays well and will be a decent copy to own until you find a better one... which can be very expensive.
