Here’s a recording from down in New Orleans, by the Halfway House Orchestra. The dancehall was halfway between New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. The group was led by Abbie Brunies, brother of George Brunies, and did all their recordings in New Orleans between 1925 – 1928.
