Up for your consideration is Chuck Berry's first Chess Lp (Chess LP-1426) After School Session. This is an original release and has the Chess name vertically on label which was the first way they released there lp and it has the silver writing on black. Etched on clear part of vinyl is Chess-8449. This is an early pressing. Lp and cover are in very good condition with some light surface scratches which do not effect play. I have played all of this lp and there is no skipping and hardly any surface noise. Sounds very clear. If you have a question let me know. I will mail this by USPS with delivery confirmation. Thanks. Additional information: Chuck Berry "After School Session" LP Chess 1426 (1957). The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's first LP went largely unnoticed in the day when the 45 single was king, which makes this gem a true collector's dream. Berry wrote all 12 tunes featured here, including the classics "School Day (Ring Ring Goes the Bell)", "Too Much Monkey Business", and "Brown Eyed Handsome Man". We've never seen a nicer copy. The first Chess label was black with silver printing, "CHESS" vertically on the left side of the label. On stereo releases, a gold label with black printing was used, with the same graphics. During this time, some issues used dark blue labels with silver printing; graphics were the same. Promotional labels were white with black printing, the graphics were the same as the black label. These labels were the original issues on 1425 to approximately 1488.
