Jon Brooks goes under many pseudonyms but The Advisory Circle is his bread and butter, the name that attracted the attention of many experimental music listeners thanks to his releases on Ghost Box. The first of these, Other Channels, is a vast collection of beautifully diverse electronic patchworks, all made for TV and film. There's a bit of everything in this collection, from the oddly folky "Celebrate Michaelmas NOW", to the warped voice commercial of "Frozen Ponds PIF", and even the lo-fi growls and glitches on "Keep Warm, Keep Well". It's music for outside thinkers and lovers of the obscure, the deranged and the surreal.
