This auction is for an amazing opportunity to own a unique acetate of the iconic and ultra rare unreleased 'unknown' track from Paul Oakenfold's Rojam Shanghai Essential Mix on the 26/9/99. The track has become infamous due to the fact that the track has never been ID'd and the white label or acetate that Paul Oakenfold used for the mix has been lost over the years and even Paul does not know who the artist was. The track was never released or pressed to vinyl for release, so it can only be found on the Essential Mix and nowhere else, until now....
I was very luckily some years ago to obtain an acetate of this exact mix from a prolific producer friend of mine who worked with some biggest names of the era and who had numerous tracks released and featured on the Essential Mix himself, so the provenance is there for this rare item.
This acetate was cut and mastered on the 15/10/01 at Sony Music Studios in London. This mix was more than likely recorded from the Essential Mix broadcast itself and then transferred to acetate making this probably the only existing physical copy of this incredible track.

and clicking on the video.The acetate is double sided so the track was cut on to both sides.
The Acetate is in a good condition, but it has been used and it has a hazy residue common to acetates.
