Description
AC/DC – T.N.T.
The holiest grail for this Australian version of T.N.T.The Earliest Original Australian T.N.T. Misprinted / Blue Roo Collectors Issue.
Original 1975 Australian First Issue, with the miss-printed gatefold sleeve, with paste over correction sticker. In astounding original condition.
The sleeve is the very earliest miss-printed gatefold sleeve, with the corrected tracks on an Albert Productions white paste over sticker. Extremely rare, these are the very earliest issues.
This is one of the best you will ever see or hear. These corrected gatefold sleeves are extremely hard to find, especially in this sort of condition.
The gatefold sleeve is Near Mint and it is in astounding original condition as is the sticker on the back.
The sticker is just plain white paper, so they are most often grubby, or heavily marked, but this one is superb (see pics) The inside of the gatefold is a superb crisp white, and in superb condition, as are the edges and corners.
The labels are Near Mint, with no spindle trails or spider legs, they are both in superb original condition, and are like new. (see pics)
The vinyl
Side One - is Near Mint. On close inspection under 100w Halogen lamp, and searching....there is just 1 really small, faint surface scuff, about 1/3 the size of the spindle hole (tiny) and there is absolutely no damage to the surface, or any effect on the audio.
The audio is Mint.
Side Two - is Near Mint. On close inspection under direct light from a 100w Halogen lamp, the surfaces are unmarked. The Audio is Mint.
Audiophile hunters The audio on both sides is as good as you will ever hear for this LP.
This record is one of the first ever pressed, and it has barely ever been played. You can tell on playback. The quiet areas and deadwax are silent.. Run ins, and run outs. The audio is superb, crisp, sharp and dynamic.
I do not believe in "hot" stampers, but I do believe in early pressings. The audio on this, is noticeably a cut above the average Blue Roo for TNT. (my ears are well trained for this 1st issue, I have dealt with it many times)
I think there are the rare early pressing that can match the audio on this vinyl record, but I doubt that it can be beaten. The sticker tells you it is an early pressing, and the audio does confirm it.

A few words about condition.

GRADING
Mint is a Rigid Band - The next Four Grades are all Narrow Bands, that slightly widen as the condition gradually deteriorates - Good is still Good, but there is a rapid widening of the Grade Bands, as the condition deteriorates over the last Four grades.

GOOD
56 to 68
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated, but the record will still play through, and it will not be a completely unpleasant listening experience, even at the bottom of this grade (56).
The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR

The record is still playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even stick, skip or jump.. This is starting to be an unpleasant listening experience at the top of the grade (55) and will not be a pleasant listening experience at all by the end of it (41).
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
