Description
Powerage (1980 second pressing with black labels and yellow boarders):
Cover is a solid VG, no seam splits. Worst thing about it is the small sticker tear on the upper right of the back side. Has slight ringwear, spine wear, and edge wear.
Record is EX+, plays close to near mint with a very bright sound. A few light marks that don't effect play.
Labels are in awesome shape EX+.
High Voltage (1975 Joe Williams Blue Roo 1st Pressing. Super Rare as the Broonzy 1st pressings are alot more common):
Record is a very high VG, with only light surface noise due to minor groove wear. Really only noticeable between tracks, still plays great. NO skipping.
Labels are in great shape with little spindle marks. EX+
Cover is also a very high VG, has ringwear, spine wear, edge wear, creases, and a Jems import sticker. No seam splits however. Looks nice and bright for being 46 years old.
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976 Australian first pressing with the blue roo):
Record is VG+ on side 1 and VG on side 2 due to a mild scratch. Just makes it tick through the song "Ride On", DOES NOT skip. Other than that it plays pretty good. Has the usual scuff marks.
The cover is a high VG+, the worst thing about it is the spine is coming apart a little as seen in the pictures. Not all the way through however, so it's not a seam split. Other than that it looks killer, has lots of color still.
Labels are NM
T.N.T. (1975 Blue Roo 1st Pressing):
Record is in awsome condition, side 1 is EX+, plays near mint and side 2 is VG+ only because of a mild scratch which makes it lightly pop on the song "TNT", it dosen't overpower the song by any means but it is present in the backround. Does NOT skip. Once the next song starts, it plays just as good as side 1, which is VERY clean and loud.
The labels are NM
The cover is EX with only minor wear for it's age. No seam splits, discoloration, extreme bending, etc. This is a great play copy and a collector's item for being 46 years old.
All records have been play tested on a top notch audio setup (very loud of course) before listing for quality assurance. These are in awesome condition for being over 40 years old, a must have for AC/DC collectors and fans. A regretable sale on my end. If you need more pictures (i'm only allowed 12 on here), send me a message.
I ship records with the records outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits. Shipped with USPS in the USA ONLY
RECORD GRADING
Mint (M)
Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed. Should be used sparingly as a grade, if at all.
Near Mint (NM or M-)
A nearly perfect record. A NM- record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as any sign of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.
EXCELLENT+ (EX+)- Close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
EXCELLENT (EX) A used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
Very Good Plus (VG+)
A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.
Very Good (VG)
Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as the lowest price.
Good (G), Good Plus (G+)
A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
Poor (P), Fair (F)
Gnerally worth 0-5% of the Near Mint price. The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully split, crinkled, and written upon.
