Description
I purchased this 3-track 45 rpm single in the secondary market advertised with the vinyl being near mint and the sleeve being very good which I believe to be a fair assessment however I am going to score the vinyl as excellent. The evidence for this having been a promo is the stamp on the label on side 1. There are some light surface marks I found following a light cleaning however after listening to the tracks through the Grado’s I agree with a near mint rating to which I will assign a numerical score of 89, based only surface marks; just a few more than I think qualify for near mint but grading can be very subjective. I’m not taking off any points for the label stamp, I think it adds a certain prominence. Upon purchase the vinyl was placed in a Mofi sleeve. The jacket falls within the very good plus range and I would score it numerically as a 75. The front cover, besides having the best drawing of Angus ever, does show some signs of wear that I attempted to capture including some creasing along the left side near the spine and the bottom. There is also a little waviness in the cover that I can’t for the life of me can’t figure out. Also of interest is that there is printing on both the left spine and what would be the top spine, however the top spine does have a minor split. The rear cover has some discoloration at the midpoint more visible along the left side. Nevertheless, this is a great cover. Upon purchase I placed the album in a protective sleeve. Finally, regarding shipping the album is secured, vinyl outside of the jacket, within cardboard inside a Whiplash record mailer.
