Description
From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of Aussie hard rock classic. AC/DC. Flick Of The Switch LP TEST PRESSING RARE. Australian pressing. 1983. Albert. Record in Very Good Plus condition, scratch across first few tracks on Side 1, looks deep but doesn’t affect play, can’t discern any pops although ACCA’s decibel levels would pretty much take care of that. Otherwise, remarkably pristine. Plain white labels, no notations except for hand-written A on Side One. Plain white sleeve in Good condition, with details including track listings etc stapled to cover (I’ve taken the rusted staples out in case they mark the record, which they haven’t in the last decades) and included it within the sleeve. Various pen notations also on cover together with “Personal” in red felt pen plus what appears to be a radio state catalogue number. Just to be clear, I’ve played it through on both sides, paying special attention to the first few tracks of Side One. My turntable of choice is a Linear Design GST 1, a hefty piece of furniture dating from the 1970s that’s guaranteed to pretty much play anything; I can’t predict if this would sound any different on a girly modern turntable (though it certainly wouldn’t sound any better). Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities including AC/DC and, coming up, 70s Aussie rock, rare cult UK rock, US psychedelic, prog, jazz, rare box sets, and a whole lot more.
