Hello, up for auction is this original 1976 1st Australian Pressing of AC/DC's 3rd album 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on the much sought after Alberts 'Blue Roo' Label. Please note the condition description, using Goldmine Gradings as this will inform your decision as to whether this is right for you: Sleeve - G. The cover has a spine split, bottom edge split and a tear halfway up the opening end. There is a small portion of clear sticky tape at the bottom right hand corner. Corners are dull, but there is no handwriting present. The original inner extra fine poly sleeve is included but again, this has a 2 inch (approx) split on one opening end. Labels - EX+. The prized 'Blue Roo's silver outline is very visible on these immaculate labels with no fading, tears, wrinkles or handwriting whatsoever. The blue background is deep and the yellow strobing bright. Vinyl - G. This record is extra flat but does have numerous scuffs and a few visible scratches present, one of which causes a bit of a skip during 'R.I.P. (Rock In Peace)' on Side 2. It does continue without looping upon play testing on my Audio Technica AT-LP60XBT Fully Automatic Turntable. I couldn't say, however, that this would be the case with a turntable with a lightly weighted tonearm. Visually, there is a significant scratch present on the first part of Side 2 (see photo), however, this isn't one that causes a skip during my playback. It is one of the less obvious ones that in fact causes the skip. It should be noted that there is some popping and crackling present throughout the record, but Side 1 certainly appears a little better than Side 2. Yes, this record is far from perfect, but it is a 'Blue Roo' and these are getting harder to get in any condition as the years go by. It really depends how fussy you are and what equipment you have. If you are looking for an archive quality record, this isn't the one for you, but if you just have to own a 'Blue Roo' copy no matter what and have a heavily weighted tonearm/cartridge combo on your system, this is definitely worth considering. This has a low reserve to reflect condition. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
