AC/DC ?– Dog Eat Dog / Carry Me Home
Original 1977 AC/DC Australian A label promo - on Black Albert Productions labels, with the Albert's Roo. An extremely rare vinyl record, and One of the hardest original Australian A label Promo issues to find.Dog Eat Dog - did not sell in big numbers, and only charted in Sydney, Australia, peaked at No 39, end exited after only Three weeks.

Carry Me Home is the B-side to the song "Dog Eat Dog" and was recorded at Vineyard Studios in England, along with "Love at First Feel", "Cold Hearted Man" and an early version of "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Dirty Eyes", which was released in the 1997 box set Bonfire. These recordings are from the only studio session outside of Australia while Mark Evans was in the band.
The track Carry Me Home has been included on the 2009 Backtracks box set, but before then, it was only officially available on the 'Dog Eat Dog' single, thus classifying it as a rare track to many fans. However, it is available on many bootlegs.
"Carry Me Home" is a true lost gem of a song. Never released on any album, the only place to get "Carry Me Home" is on this single. The track itself is a gritty barroom number with a lot of energy, a great melody, and a strong vocal performance.
The song's lyrics actually mimic the the night in which Bon Scott died, which may have contributed to it's limited release, and the perceived abandonment of this song.

The EMI Company Sleeve - This is a bit of an oddity sleeve, but it is the correct sleeve. Not often thought about, but there are several types of EMI Australia, company sleeves from this era.
This is the correct One for this record, but it is a really hard to find version, with a 3D type big EMI font on the sleeve, created by using Two types of Red in the printing process - just a small detail, but I think it is an important distinction for serious collectors.
Condition Description
The vinyl surfaces appear Mint, but on close inspection, and under strong light, there are just a couple of the faintest marks, that do not effect the audio playback at all. True Near Mint,
The Audio is faultless, it plays faultlessly.
This is also a similar situation for the labels, where in most circumstances, the labels appear to be in Near Mint condition, but under critical inspection, and under direct light, it is apparent that there are some Black pen marks on the Black labels. The pen marks are easier to find than the faint marks on the vinyl surfaces, but still not apparent under normal light.
I have taken pictures with the flash on, and the same picture, with the flash off, to show the difference that lighting makes, but the pen marks are Black on Black, so pretty hard to see. I have also shown pictures from an angle, where the light catches the pen marks, but I am trying to show something that is not easily seen in natural or indirect light.
This record will be well packed, with rigid stiffeners, and placed into a poly sleeve, inside a new white paper sleeve for transit.
Registered, tacked, and signed for postage.
I do recommend insurance, but that is your call - I will post & insure at "whatever it costs"
