Description

This LP is part of an amazing album collection that I will be posting a few at a time.
The original owner took meticulous care of his albums and noted on the sleeves when it was played.
This particular album was played 4 times, plus my one test run.

East Coast press, #3, in Stereo - Spizer code CAP 2047.SR4A
Has NO producer credit on the lower left hand of the back cover
4th Label Variation, BMI credits to every song except “Don't Bother Me and “Till There Was You”
No bar code on the cover. Pre-scanner days.

About the Record
Mint Minus - 4th Label Variation
Absolutely Beautiful! Glossy Black!
Played by the original owner only 4 times! I tested it and it sounds amazing and new!
Scranton factory press triangle on the dead wax

The only reason for the minus is because of a small, light scuff on Side 2
which can be seen on the left side of the picture of that side.
When I tested the album, the sound was so good that I felt as though I was experiencing

a bit of history and how it must have been for so many more than 40 years ago.

I will enclose the original sleeve, but I have placed the album in a new clean sleeve for better protection.

The matrix numbers are: ST1 2047 – B4, without the hyphen
(A and B are considered first press and I have read that the omission of the hyphen indicates that as well.)
and ST2 – 2047 - W3

About the Cover

It's the ORIGINAL with “Beatles” in BROWN lettering.
with NO PRODUCER CREDIT ON THE BACK COVER (LOWER LEFT)

The cover image is considered one of the best album covers of all time
and it has been the obvious inspiration for other covers.
The cover is frame worthy as art.
No obvious ring wear. With a very close inspection, you can see,
on the bottom, there is the beginning of a very faint ring. See the pictures.

It certainly doesn't take away from the great looking cover.

Black dot on the top edge.
Only Scranton-pressed copies are known with the "no credits" label.
This is the album up for bid.

It is still in the original factory shrink wrap, but a large portion of the back is missing.
It is obvious that this has been a recent occurrence as the cover is still very clean.
The sticker on the back is on the shrink wrap, not the cover itself.

The whites are still white. The cover opening has slight wear and has mellowed a little.

I have place the album in a clear protective record album sleeve to keep it looking amazing.
