Description
Accolade was released in 1970 on the EMI Columbia Label. This is a first pressing and the matrix numbers are: YAX4041-1 and YAX40412-1. I bought the album shortly after its release. The album is a mixture of folk tinged with folk jazz influences. Accolade turned out to be a short lived band and this was the first of two LPs they recorded. Gordon Giltrap plays on this album before leaving the band. After the second album all the members went their own way.
The record is in excellent condition and the vinyl is virtually unmarked. There are also no spindle marks. I recorded the album to tape shortly after purchase and often played the tape rather than the album - hence its nearly new condition. It plays very well with superb sound and with no skipping or jumping and there seems to be hardly any surface noise or sound deterioration after all these years. The record has been stored vertically in a record cabinet alongside other LPs all its life.
The front cover is in excellent condition. It is very clean and has virtually no marks on it - just a couple of hardly noticecable hair line creases near the edges. The spine is also unmarked and is clearly legible. The back cover is in excellent condition with virtually no marks or creases and there is minimal amount of discolouration due to age.
The album comes with their original inner sleeve which has no folds, splits or tears.
