LPs are shipped in corrugated record mailers. For shipping, records are removed from jackets to prevent seam splits (except factory sealed records), and shipped in vinyl outer sleeves with bubble wrap for added protection.

10: Mint (M) Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.
9: Mint- (M-) Opened but played only a few times at most - cover has VERY minor wear (IF ANY) no rips,no ringwear,no ink.
8: Excellent (VG++) Minor wear on LP SOUNDS GREAT - cover A REAL CLEAN COPY.minor ring wear or seam wea
7: VG+ Seam wear or minor splits, rubbing on cover. LP may have minor background noise, occasional tic. Still a GREAT listening copy.
6: VG Cover will have noticeable wear, possible seam splits. LP will have some noise, tics but won't overpower the sound. AN AVERAGE USED COPY
5: VG- LP or Cover will be quite worn, lots of background noise etc. I usually won't list any LPs in this condition unless they are quite rare to find.
4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!
3-2-1: It only goes down from here.
