Description
On offer here is a mega rare!! Private pressing LP titled “A PARCEL OF FOLK” by Parcel Of Rogues & The Villagers on the now defunct DEROY label.
They were based in High Bank Studios Hawk Street Carnforth in Lancashire in the 1960’s
Apparently Colin Harper is the link between the two groups as he played traditional folk music with them both.
The Villagers other members were Shelia Smith & John Strivens, and Parcel Of Rogues Eileen Mawson & Jeff Radcliffe.
Tracks; by The Villagers; Lykewake Dirge - Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent - John Riley - Byker Hill - The Holly Bears a Berry.
By Parcel Of Rogues; A Soulin’ - Marilyn Monroe - Old Pendle - The Weaver And The Factory Maid - Rave On.
Tracks not in playing order.
I have taken the details about this LP from a previous sale five years ago, as the insert with the info on is not included and there is no information on the labels.
Vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition, illustrated cover, fully intact, shows some ageing spots would grade as EX-.
However, If you require further details about this item, please just ask. All my items come with a full-money-back guarantee if not satisfied
