Description

You are bidding on my a 2LP set of the King Biscuit Flower Hour featuring U2, recorded live at The Orpheum Theater in Boston, Massachusetts. The air date was May 29, 1983. I no longer have the cue sheets so I did some research online and according to what I found, the show was recorded on May 6, 1983 and the track listing for this set was:
Out of Control Two Hearts Beat As one An Cat Dubh Sunday Bloody Sunday The Electric Co October Gloria I Threw a Brick Through a Window A Day Without Me 11 O'Clock Tick Tock I Will Follow
I've owned this set since it first aired and because I was a) a big U2 fan and b) in my teens, I didn't take nearly as good care of it as I would now. I've shown this set to an audiophile friend and we both agree in grading them GOOD-GOOD PLUS condition. There are a few scratches and marks on the vinyl, but the labels are very clean and free of scratches (see photos for examples). I don't have a turntable so I can't test them out, but I can say they haven't been played for at least 20 years. I've given them a light and gentle cleaning but I'm leaving the more extensive work to the next owner. Contact me with any questions.
And PLEASE leave feedback if you buy these albums and I will gladly do the same.
UPDATE: I got a turntable and listened to all three sides. There is only one spot at the end of Side A during An Cat Dubh where there is a skip. It's not a scratch but I think a smudge of dirt or something. I can't guarantee that a more-thorough cleaning will clear it, but I would not be surprised if it did. Otherwise every other song is skip-free and plays well. I'm bumping this up to VERY GOOD as a result because it sounds great and there are probably not a lot of copies of U2 out there from when they were still an opening band.
