78 RPM Record Run Rabbit Run Flanagan & Allen Rare British WWII Song VG+ Get Out 78 RPM Record Run Rabbit Run Flanagan & Allen Rare British WWII Song VG+ Get Out
For your consideration is a rare vintage 10 inch 78 rpm record by Flanagan and Allen entitled Run Rabbit Run b/w On the Outside Looking In. Popular song from 1939 which had an interesting connection to the early months of the second world war. The western front of the war was relatively quiet through the fall and winter of 1939, which gave the British population the false impression that the German war machine was meek. The first air raid of the Luftwaffe in November 1939 were targeted at a fleet of military sea planes in Shetland, which allegedly missed all its intended target and left no casualties, aside from a rabbit (although later accounts allege that the rabbit was bought from the local butcher and placed there by the government for propaganda purposes). The song was also used in the 2017 psychological horror film "Get Out." Very rare American pressing only offered once otherwise. Nice!
All of our old shellac and vinyl 78 records are packed with utmost care and precaution so as to ensure they arrive to you in the same condition in which they were shipped out. I have extensive experience shipping 78s. For an in depth explanation of my shipping methods, see the bottom of this page. All items will be shipped within 3 days of purchase. All good faith offers thoroughly considered.
Keep in mind that for the highest fidelity reproduction results, a correct sized, well maintained stylus should always be used and antique records should also always receive a deep cleaning with a stiff bristled brush and a non-alcohol based soap. I do not provide grading beyond what is required by eBay. If the photographs prove insufficient, do not hesitate to reach out with a question, as well as any other type of inquiry related to an item.
All 78 rpm records, vinyl or shellac, will be shipped sandwiched between either thick cardboard or some spare 78 rpm discs to provide substantial reinforcement for uneven pressure placed on a package during shipment. The record sandwich is then suspended in packing peanuts on all sides. Packing peanuts are the optimal durable memory material as they will insulate your item against any acute forces such as a fall or any type of blow and unlike bubble wrap will not pop and lose their shape if subjected to a strong force.
