Description

One of the rarest of all commercial 78rpm records by any personality artist. Cyclonic Eva Tanguay, star of Broadway and the Vaudeville stage, sings her theme - "I Don't Care" on this rare West Coast label. . Nordskog 3002 One-sided 78rpm Gold Seal Record. Eva Tanguay was one of the highest paid of all Vaudeville artists, and her life and performances are legendary. She introduced "I Don't Care" in "Ziegfeld Follies of 1909" - her last Broadway show. This Nordskog recording was her only recording, made circa May, 1922. While the record itself is in very nice E- or better condition - the best copy I've seen in 40+ years of collecting - the sound quality of the recording is below average, due to the recording equipment used. ( Rumor has it that Eva made this recording in her living room . . or in the living room of Mr. Nordskog ! ) The label itself is a rarity, but the Tanguay record is a cornerstone of any collection of "personality" artists. . . Media Mail is $7.00, and not any lesser amount that may erroneously appear within this listing. Postage extra outside U.S. - Europe is $28.00 Please wait for my invoice before paying. . .
