WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.  Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

ORIGINAL 1969 ACID-ROCK ARTIFACT

              ASTRO-SOUNDS

        From Beyond The Year 2000

                               ...USA - ALSHIRE RECORDS - 5119 S

RARE Original 1969 first pressing of a sought acid rock creation titled Astro Sounds From Beyond The Year 2000 by 101 Strings, dominated by THE ID guitarist Jerry Cole who was also responsible for the fuzz guitar work on the ANIMATED EGG album.

"We must always remember to thank the CIA and the Army for LSD," John Lennon once said, referring to the infamous military mind-control experiments with drugs. On a similar but less sinister note, psychedelic music must remember to thank the "squares" -- that took rock out of the garages and moved it into the cosmos.

Psychedelia rock was designed for taking a trip to the beat of the sounds, the controlled substances provided the passport. The flight path, for much of both, was borne on wings of sitar, fuzz guitar and wy-out studio effects. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, sometimes considered psychedelia's highest achievement, may have survived a million encomiums, but it hasn't survived as many listens. With the rediscovery of psychedelic rock in the 1980's, a new cult champion emerged: Astro Sounds From Beyond the Year 2000 by the 101 Strings -- direct from Aladdin's lamp of inscrutable grooviness. The 101 Strings take us on a mind-blowing excursion into uncharted stellar realms with an album's worth of pleasant fast-beat vibes that lightly brush the stars.

The opening cut on Astro Sounds, "Flameout," is the most future shocking invoking the psychotic disorientation of fuzz guitar on acid ... "Trippin' on Lunar 07" boasts Vanilla Fudge muscle with spacey sound effects, as the 101 Strings interpret guitar feedback. Although the rest of the album is brighter and melodic, the strings, whooshing on phase shifter overdrive, easily presage the lustrous indifference of the progressive rock scene's early 70's synthesizers. With its unremitting dance beats, methane violins and ID guitarist Jerry Cole's deft alternation between surfy riffing and doomsday fuzz distortion, Astro Sounds is pretty damn groovy.

Hendrix famously said, "You'll never hear surf music again," but he was wrong. Through the volcanic core of Astro Sounds, which is by THE ID's guitarist Jerry Cole, we hear Hendrix playing surf music. A shotgun wedding of The Id ordained by a pothead engineer, Astro Sounds is the original mashup - and one the greatest acid-rock albums ever recorded.
