"A Quiet Storm" Smokey Robinson Motown M5-197V1 1975 Disc condition - Close inspection shows some scuffing & what may be dirty marks (probably needs cleaning), no visible scratches. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper printed with record covers. Cover - Very good, minor edge & corner rub, some ring rub. "Smokey's Family Robinson" Smokey Robinson Tamla Motown STML 12021 Stereo 1976 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no visible marks or scratches. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Thick paper printed with lyrics. Cover - Good, minor corner & edge wear but a couple of creases along opening edge of cover, minor rim rub, some yellowing/discolouration to blue areas of cover. "Pure Smokey" Smokey Robinson Motown M5168 1974 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, few minor edge scuffs, no obvious marks or scratches to playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Plastic. Cover - Good, only very minor edge & corner wear, minor rim rub, few dirty marks to back cover, hole cut completely through lower RH corner. "Greatest Hits Vol.2" Smokey Robinson & the Miracles Tamla TS 280 Stereo 1967 (on cover) 1968 (on record label) Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no visible marks or scratches. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper. Cover - Good, some corner & edge rub wear, minor rim marking, quite a bit of discolouration & spotting (foxing) to white areas of back cover.
My mother-in-law has gone into supported accommodation & among other things, we need to get rid of her record collection. I will also be listing LPs inherited from my husband's brother, who was a fan of African American R&B and jazz artists.
I do worry about accurately stating the condition of the records. I am unable to play the records but will look at them carefully in a well lit room in daylight (no artificial lighting), listing any obvious faults. All records are second hand/used/played & I have noticed that almost all, if held under direct sunlight or inside downlighting, will show very fine, light scratches/marks scattered over the surface. These do not show in normal room lighting & will not be mentioned in my descriptions & may be present even when the record appears "clean & shiny". Because I can't play the records, I will not be able to tell if the records sound scratchy or have any pops, crackles or background "noise". Although my listings carry a "no refunds" policy, please contact me via email if you buy a record that disappoints because you feel my description is inaccurate & I will organise a refund.
I ship LPs in a padded postal envelope with extra bubble wrap & cardboard around record. A purchase of more than 3 LPs (or that doesn't fit into a padded post bag) is shipped wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a cardboard sleeve. I will be happy to combine postage (please email for costs) if you are purchasing more than one item & will hold any item you have won until the end of any future auction on which you are bidding.
