Description

Up for sale are these three rare import vinyl LP records released in Taiwan in the late 1960s.  These are the first three albums released by the iconic rock group Steppenwolf from 1967 to 1969.  The first included album is their debut album simply titled “Steppenwolf,” which includes the classics, Born to Be Wild and Sookie, Sookie.  This one is on Liming Records (LM-2239).  The record is in very good plus to excellent condition with only a couple of minor surface scratches.  The cover is missing some of the paper sleeve as you can see in the pictures.  The second record is their second album titled “The Second,” which includes the hit Magic Carpet Ride.  This one is also an import from Taiwan (CSJ-772).  This record is in excellent to near mint condition and the sleeve is complete and intact, with only a bit of separation at the upper right top edge.  The third album (CSJ-835) is titled “At Your Birthday Party.”  The condition of this record is probably a very good plus with a number of light surface scratches.  None appear to be deep.  The sleeve is in very nice condition with no apparent splits, stains or tears.  These early imported records from Taiwan have light weight paper sleeves (not as thick as the cardboard sleeves that came with record albums in the United States and Europe) with plastic covering the outside as well as the inside where the record is kept.  These vinyl albums are from a Vietnam War veteran’s collection which he purchased individually while stationed in Vietnam in the late 1960s, early 1970s.  Truly a rare find and something you will want to add to your vintage LP album collection.  Shipping on this item is a flat $3.95 anywhere in the 48 continental United States.
