Here's a definite case for play-testing records, both of which were completely play-tested for the grades above. Machine Head played great, one of the best copies of this record I've had in a long time. Perfect Strangers - Side 1 played VG-, listenable but not what I'd call really good. Side 2 played much better, a standard VG+. You would no have known that by merely inspecting the record visually, as it looked VG+ to EX. Now how many vinyl sellers actually play the records they're listing entirely? Not many I'd hazard a guess. That mean that you really don't know how most records listed are going to play. What is it worth to you to actually KNOW how good a record is?

Here's another thing- the pressings. Machine Head is a 1973 repress as evidenced from the Burbank Street Scene Warner Bros. label in use 1973 77, and also from the matrix/runout sequence (below). Perfect Strangers is an RCA Music Service Club Edition as evidenced by the sequence on the labels and in the matrix/runout sequence below. Both albums come with the original inner-sleeves and Machine Head has the foldout lyric sheet as well, often missing from used copies of this album.
