Description
Both boxes from the same estate. Both boxes are complete including the FACSIMILE HARDBACK BOOKS. Here are details on each box:
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Riverside Records – SDP 22, with performances by Cyril Ritchard, Alec Wilder, and the New York Woodwind Quintet. The box is in GOOD CONDITION. The top is split on two corners, with two corners solid. All four corners solid on bottom box, but there is a scrape on the picture of the bottom box. There is light soiling along the boxes, with what looks like a light blue magic marker squiggle near the Cyril Ritchard name on the top box. All four LPs stored in original plain white inner sleeves. All four LPs look playable with some light scratches seen over generally clean vinyl, use indicated by spindle hole wear, no meaningful deep scratches, I'll grade them all VG+. The book shows use, with moderate to heavy corner wear, light edge wear, rubbed spine letters. The previous owner did ink her name and year (1966) on blue endpaper. This is the only marking in both books. Yellow top stain, 192 clean and solidly bound pages.
Through the Looking Glass. Murray Hill Records – M-2387, 1964, with performances by Cyril Ritchard, Alec Wilder, and the New York Woodwind Quintet. The box is in GOOD CONDITION. The top is split on three corners. All four corners solid on bottom box. Unlike the Riverside box, there is no picture on the bottom box. There is light soiling along the boxes. All four LPs were stored in original plain white inner sleeves - two of them were damaged and were replaced by plain white inner sleeves. All four LPs look playable with some light scratches seen over generally clean vinyl, no meaningful deep scratches but visible scratches. There is less spindle hole wear as compared to the Alice's Adventures, and more clean vinyl, but there are scratches. I'll grade them all VG+. The book is in a bit better condition than Alice's Adventures, with moderate corner wear, light edge wear, less rubbed spine letters. No discernable color top stain, 224 clean and solidly bound pages.
