Description

This record comes from the personal collection of Joe Carducci. Joe was a partner at SST Records in its "heyday" (1981-1986) and he kept copies of most SST products. He also co-owned Thermidor Records, started while he was at Systematic Record Distribution in Portland and Berkeley (1978-1981), as well as being a partner in Optional Music in the same period. He has also published five well regarded books, including Rock & The Pop Narcotic, Enter Naomi: SST, L.A. and All That..., and his most recent, Stone Male: Requiem for the Living Picture. VG++/M- UnplayedRare first pressing of this live Joy Division LP. This is the very first pressing on black vinyl, from Germany 1984 (later editions were on various colors). Silk screened cover with matte ink shows slight signs of rubbing/wear - outstanding. Record is flawless, unplayed, blank labels show light rubbing. Make no mistake: as good as it gets condition-wise for this Joy Division rarity. Tracks A1 to B4 Live: Winter Gardens, Malvern, April 5th 1980 (not May 4th as the sleeve says). Tracks B5 to B7 Live: Eric's, Liverpool, August 11th 1979 (not November 8th as the sleeve says). "Girls don't count" was an encore jam done with support band SECTION 25. Side B starts with Isolation and Interzone; those are not on the A side as the sleeve says. Limited Edition of 1000 copies in different sleeves. This is the black/white sleeve. First issue on black vinyl. Reissues came in different vinyl colors and some in red/white sleeves. Transmission listed as B3, but it's not on the release. B3 given as Untitled
