Description
This is for a copy of the untitled JFA record, released in 1984 by Placebo Records. Catalog # PLA 601. This is the version with the green inner labels. 12". 45 RPM. This was play tested, and side 1 plays through with a little background crackling and a few soft pops. Side 2 has even less than side 1, so generally a pretty clean sound, especially for an earlier hardcore record. Visually, vinyl shows some scuffing / light scratching (can't feel them).
This was a copy from the legendary New Haven, Connecticut college radio station WNHU, and WNHU is handwritten on the inner label on side 2, and is scrawled across the front of the jacket. The jacket is rough (please see all pictures), and has this writing I just mentioned, along with creasing, heavy edge wear, ring wear, a white sticker on the front in the lower left corner with "Hardcore" written on it, creasing, a 2" seam split on the spine, and a very heavy bump on the spine causing an indentation and litho tearing (see picture). Has a generic white inner sleeve that is not original.
So a pretty decent sounding copy, but with definite issues with the jacket, but also pretty cool that it was the play copy at WNHU.
