Description

First pressing Blue Roo with laminated gatefold cover. Play tested 28/5/24. I would rate the vinyl G+/VG-.The vinyl has some scuffs (mostly from repeated removal from inner sleeve by the looks of it), it plays with some persistent but relatively minor crackle,  it is mostly unnoticeable when the music is cranking, audible between tracks and in quieter sections of the songs, doesn't skip, jump or stick, but a scratch on Live Wire produces a few pops towards the end. There is a bit of minor sibilance in the top end; the run ins are pretty quiet, particularly side 2. On balance, side 2 just shades side 1 for sound quality. Apart from the aforementioned top end sibilance, it's pretty punchy and delivers a solid listen. So, not perfect but still eminently listenable,at least to my ears. I would rate the sleeve VG-. The laminate on the sleeve is lifting (particularly on the rear) and bubbling on the front and back, please look at the photos to see this, but the sleeve looks to be in fine condition underneath (I've been tempted to peel the laminate off, but couldn't bring myself to do it). There is storage wear to the corners and the top and bottom hinge of the gatefold, but no tears or holes. There are names written on the inside right hand side of the gatefold, and faint remains of same name on the front cover (see circled area on last photo). Will be cleaned with Spinclean and placed in poly lined inner prior to shipping. Any questions please let me know. Please look closely at photos before bidding.
