1970 Hard Meat Progressive Acid Rock Promo LP (Hard Meat)
Hard Meat – “Hard Meat” (Warner Bros 1582). Hard Meat was a British progressive rock group active between 1969 and 1971 formed by the Birmingham-born brothers Michael Dolan (guitar, lead vocals) and Steve Dolan (bass, vocals), with drummer Mick Carless. Their music has bene described as acid psychedelic with hard rock trills.) The trio's debut single was a cover of the Beatles' "Rain" b/w "Burning Up Years" on the Island label in 1969. This was followed by two albums released by Warner Bros in 1970: Hard Meat and Through a Window. Despite tours of Europe and the USA neither album saw chart success, and the group disbanded shortly afterwards. Cuts include: “Through A Window”; “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”; “Space Between”; “Time Shows No Face”; “Run Shaker Life”; “Universal Joint”; and “Most Likely You Go Your Way I'll Go Mine.” Promo copy.
