1967 Daily Express Richard Avedon Beatles posters

complete with their Original Packing Daily Express Tube dated 29th Feb 1968

All Marked Limited First Edition

This set is complete and in absolutely Fantastic Condition, and most importantly unfolded and without pinholes, infact this pays testament to the fact they have spent most the last 40 years stored in their original Daily Express Tube, A fold in a poster to a collector can halve the value, and these poster were printed on paper, unlike the stern copies issued in Europe, which are quite common and readily available on Ebay. The Daily Express issues are very hard to come across in any condition, which is why this is the only set you can find on Ebay Worldwide, as proof of this point, a set of 4 DAILY EXPRESS  posters (no banner ) folded and in worn condition sold for £1050 in 2004 at Christies.

These posters represent true early pop art and are fantastic psycadelic representation of the Worlds most famous band of the 1960's era. A truely beautifull Beatles item.

THE BANNER

101.5cm x 35.5cm : Overall Excellent unfolded Condition, it is not torn and the images are still superb, along the bottom of the poster, in about an inch deep border, is written the following in BLACK type, on the left

along the length of the poster are the relevant Names under each Beatles Member, the poster has no tears, there is a small scratch just to the left of George Harrison, which is only about 1cm in length, there is some slight edge wear to the top edge at each end, resulting in very slight creasing at these points

GEORGE HARRISON

68.5cm x 48cm - The poster is again in fantastic condition, it has sharp corners, and edges, no pinholes, no folds, the back of the poster is clean and unstained,  across the whole poster hardly a sign of any wear at all, printed in the white border at the base of the poster in BLACK type is the following.

RINGO STARR

68.5cm x 48cm - The poster is again in fantastic condition, it has sharp corners, and edges, no pinholes, no folds, the back of the poster is clean and unstained in anyway,  across the whole poster hardly a sign of any wear at all, printed in the white border at the base of the poster in DARK BROWN type is the following.

Infact the only fault with it is a small 6mm tear along the top edge at the right hand side, This small "Nick" appears in 3/4 posters, and situated in the same place on each, meaning they were rolled together when it happen, proberbly pulling out og the tube, periodic miniscule edge wear in places, overall a superb example of this desirable poster.

JOHN LENNON

68.5cm x 48cm - The poster is again in superb condition, it has sharp corners, and edges, no pinholes, no folds, the back of the poster is clean and unstained in anyway,  across the whole poster hardly a sign of any wear at all, printed in the white border at the base of the poster in PURPLE type is the following.

Infact even though the condition overall for this poster is excellent, it is proberbly the lowest grade of all the posters, it has a small 4mm nick at the top edge's right hand side as stated in the other descriptions, also though at the side on the right edge are a further 2 small tears approx 1cm in length each - see image, some very very minor edge wear in places, a further excellent example of this poster from the set.

This is the best graded poster of all the posters at N/mint, with just some very slight edgewear in a couple of places.

This beautifull set comes in it's original Daily Express Tube, dated 29/2/68. postmarked and sent to Plymouth Devon, which is just down the road from me, brought through an agent from the original owner. The tube has Barber shop patterned type going around it Daily Express.
