One of the Jazz holy grails for a reason... such impassioned blowing on that horn and such stellar accompaniment by McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones & Jimmy Garrison makes for one of the most exciting & enjoyable listens in Jazz history!!!
Coltrane probably ate 1000 rolls of Fruit Life Savers while making this gem of an album- his favorite sweet to eat to lubricate his mouth while blowing on the sax...
This LP is from a Nashville, TN area DJ's collection that we have in climate controlled storage and have been selling out for a couple of years..he was known to collect a record, commit it to CD or hard drive and then store it away otherwise unplayed..
Both LP sides have been 100% PLAY TESTED (now four times each side, i just couldn't stop) with our Technics SL 1200 with (1 year old) Ortofon 2m Silver Cartridge for solid NM/EX
Both sides effectively play like new with only that occasional dust crackle (but hardly any at all really)..No real clicks or ticks actually to point out at all... Really, this record sounds like it was teleported from a 1965 record store!!
Even the dead wax shows hardly a crackle at all!
You will not find a better sounding copy of this album, not being removed from the original plastic..
Of course, the music has crystalline clarity with no hiss, no staticy sound or no back ground noise.
By the spindles, this album appears to have Never been played at all.. Visually, there are several scattered tiny marks, ticks / paper scuffs to the vinyl, which effectively do not sound....
No annoying noise shadowing the vocals or sound portions, typical of an LP this age..
I will never list an album on eBay which has persistent back ground noise or hiss because I believe this utterly destroys the true enjoyment of ANY LP record!!
The condition of the quite well preserved cover is clearly shown...has owner's initials "GW" in pen on front cover corner.....No seam splits, hardly a flaw at all to the laminate cover even.. Wow, just super clean in all respects!!!
The worst flaws are all shown..
This is (really) the one you were looking for...
