This listing is for an Original 1964 Capitol Records PICTURE SLEEVE for The Beatles single: Slow Down b/w Matchbox, Capitol Records number 5255. This is the RARER VERSION of the Capitol Records issue of the West Coast Sleeve with the "A" side title "Slow Down" printed with top billing on the "B" Side (Back) Drop Down Tab Side of The Sleeve. This by some Beatles experts has been referred to as a "misprint" or "factory error" as "Slow Down" was considered the A side and should have had top billing on the sleeves straight cut top side, NOT on the drop-down tab back side. This was corrected by Capitol during the issue of this sleeve BUT not before some, like this sleeve, were printed up and bought in stores. The graphics retain the strong colors and all seams are INTACT. This is graded a standard VG++ and not a higher VG++ as when inspecting at different angles I can see a light impression in the paper of the outline of where a record was once housed in the sleeve along with some scattered impressions here and there in the paper itself from being handled years back before I bought it for my collection 40+ years ago at a Beatlefest. This looks and displays very well. With a RARE sleeve version I wanted to give as much information on the paper as possible.
