London Blue Back ffss Classical Stereo LP CS 6112 NM!
Up For sale, a London Blue Back Classical / Audiophile Stereo / FFSS / Hot Stamper / TAS Listed / LP ~ In Spectacular Condition!!!
Features: Fernando Previtali conducting the Orchestra Of Accademia Di Santa Cecilia, Rome. Titled: "Frescobaldi: Quatro Pezzi [Orchestrated by Ghedini] and Petrassi: Concerto No. 1 For Orchestra" .
London Records, 12 inch, 33 1/3 RPM FFSS Stereo LP, Cat. #CS 6112, The label is red and all printing is silver-gold. The label finish is semi-matte. The ffss logo, circled by FULL FREQUENCY STEREOPHONIC SOUND, is at 12:00 o'clock. "Made in England" is printed at the label-bottom following the label-edge and is centered. "ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURE AND THE OWNER OF THE RECORDED WORK RESERVED UNAUTHORIZED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED is printed following the label-edge from 9:00 to 3:00. This is a rigid platter with a slightly raised outer edge and raised label. A circle is stamped onto the disq radiating 1/4th inch out from the spindle-hole. A recessed concentric-ring is stamped into the disq 1/8th inch in-board of the record-edge. The record-edge is beveled. Matrix #'s are located at 6 O'clock , in the trail out - dead wax. Side one Matrix #: ZAL 3304-2E / Side 2 Matrix #: ZAL 3305-1E.

Recordings on this label / in this series / are coveted among audiophiles, and thus much of the vinyl in this series includes expensive, hard-to-find records in the second-hand market. Pressed on a high-fidelity, rigid platter, delivering true audiophile sound quality. The most desired of which were released between 1958-1962. The record jacket has a light-blue back - thus the term "Blue-Back" was coined. The Absolute Sound (often referred to as "TAS") is an American monthly magazine which reviews audiophile-oriented sound-reproduction and recording equipment and recordings, and comments on various music-related subjects. The Vinyl is Near Mint with no scratches to speak of, only a few faint surface marks from the sleeve, they are faint and not easy to see, LP is in very clean condition, no spindle marks on label, as I play tested some sections, they sound spectacular, just as the condition looks. With original London inner sleeve.
The cover is very nice as well, but shows a few chips of color from the top front area, and faint moisture staining on back upper area. No writing, and no ring, no splits, nothing serious on this 50 year old LP!!. Corners and edges of jacket are clean and sharp.
