Description
ONE ONLY! Beatles investment with terrific upside potential:
THE BEATLES! PLEASE PLEASE ME/FROM ME TO YOU (VeeJay #581 1st pressing w/PICTURE SLEEVE, 1964): CLEAN M- PICTURE SLEEVE & CLEAN M- 45.
GUARANTEED QUALITY! My best VJ #581 picture sleeve with a pristine 1st pressing 45. The CLEAN M- picture sleeve has no rips, stickers, writing or seam splits. Slight wrinkling at top keeps it from perfection. The CLEAN M- 45 has the scarce rainbow/brackets label & looks barely played!
Low opening bid without reserve...put it in The Vault!
BeatleDave is selling out! Compulsively-curated personal collection...each & every auction unconditionally guaranteed: if you aren't happy, return it for a refund. Any item selling for over $100 must be shipped with insurance, so please wait to pay until you get a revised invoice. U.S. bidders only, please.
More small print!
This 1964 classic combines the 1st & 2nd Beatles A-sides issued in the United States. After the first U.S. Beatles single Please Please Me (VJ #498) failed to chart in February 1963, VeeJay Records tried again in May '63 with From Me To You (VJ #522). Neither release cracked the Hot 100 & VJ rudely declined to release further Beatles 45s.
After 1964 changed everything, VeeJay reversed course & issued #581, combining Please Please Me & From Me To You. Thanks to Beatlemania, this single raced to #3 in February 1964.
