  • **** RARE***** and UNCOMMON *** SIGNED IN ‘55 by Lizzie MILES ( Elizabeth Mary Landreaux)

  • MARCH 31, 1895 - MARCH 17, 1963
  • AFRO CREOLE BLUES SINGER— THE REAL DEAL!!
  • Lizzie Miles was a classic AMERICAN blues singer from the 1920s who survive to have a full come back in America and Europe in the 1950s.

  • She started out singing in New Orleans during
  • 1909–1911 eith such musicians as King Oliver, Kid Ory, and BUNK JOHNSON. She was in Chicago during the 1918 - 1920 and then moved to New York City in 1921 - finally making her record debut the following year and ‘22.

  • LIZXIE MILES ( signed to “Clyde”) are considered uncommon and rarely hit the market - most signed recordings or photographs are found at Louisiana State University ( LSU) and museums ( here in the states and abroad -France for example celebrating American Blues and Jazz .
  • Lizzie toured Europe in 1924 - 1925 and was active in NYC from 1926 - 1931. A signigicant American Blues and Jazz singer of note. She died in 1963.

  • This is the first time this piece has been offered on any market anywhere —- I have only the one..
