Description

This is a 1947(old) 78 rpm from Goldband Records(Eddie Shuler's brainchild and company in Lake Charles, LA from the 40s through the 80s) single that discography puts between 1947 and 1953. Most discographies show both sides by Shuler's Reveliers but some show as this record does, Louisiana's Oldest String Band, the Hackberry Ramblers on the B-side w/The Misery Of a Broken Heart. The A-side number is G-1015A with Eddie Shuler's All-Star Reveliers playing La Valse De Meche(The Marsh[Swamp]Waltz)in Cajun French. The B-side number is a real classic, it is the legendary Hackberry Ramblers(Luterin Darbonne's famous group) doing The Misery Of a Broken Heart(in English). I am an amateur record guy so I won't even attempt to grade this old shellac 78 but I can tell you that I did play it on my old phonograph with my old needle and and it sounded great on both sides!
