Description

The only thing I could find out about this 78 RPM was a "Popsike" listing of the same one which sold for $100 (see   http://www.popsike.com/HAL-KEMP-WASHINGTON-REDSKINS-CUSTOM-PRESSING-1939/4016329659.html

According to that listing, the original seller claimed:   "This record is a very rare original issue 78 rpm disc from 1939. It is a custom pressing of the fight song of the Washington Redskins football team as played by the Hal Kemp band. The tune is of course, Hail To The Redskins written by Barnee Breeskin with words by Corinne Griffith. The disc was recorded by and custom pressed by RCA Victor Records. The Redskin logo is on both sides of the disc. The master number is BS 038053 which dates this recording as August of 1939. Hal Kemp recorded a session for Victor on 24 August 1939. It appears that this title was recorded at the end of that session. This particular title is not listed in the Brian Rust American Dance Band Discography. The flip side is by the Bob Hamilton trio that consists of piano and organ with vibes and drums. They perform Carnival In Dixie which is Victor master number BS 038048."

Anyway, I would grade this 75 year-old 78 RPM in the G to VG range.  There are scratches, I've seen much worse and it is a 78 RPM.  There is a clear address label affixed to the label on the Redskin side, not on the other.

Note that the Popsike listing had this selling for $100....
